What pride do you take in your work?

I come from a long line of farmers and domestic workers, who took great pride in what they did. Whose efforts afforded me to the opportunity to be the first lawyer in my family. I take pride in my work, because I know it was built on the foundation of their work and sacrifice. And, they would not expect anything less than greatness from me.

Why do you care about the work you do?

I care about the work I do because it allows me to be of service.

Pavielle Dortch

Who are you?

When I was born, my grandmother named me Pavielle. She gave me the name because she thought it was unique. Little did she know, my name carried a power meaning, it meant purifying woman or humbling flame. As I have navigated through life, I am just that. I am the advocate who seeks to get the job done effectively. I am the promoter and supporter, who desires to see everyone flourish in their purpose. I am the person who tells and shows you the truth in order to help you move and grow to the next phase.

What is your job at The Dortch Law Group?

I am the attorney for and owner of the firm.

When Did you start working at the firm?

I started this practice when I was six months pregnant with my oldest son in 2016. I wanted to build a legacy for the child growing in my womb. And so, I stepped out on faith, and open this law practice. I

Where are you from?

I am Southern through and through. Like most people in Atlanta, I am a hybrid. You can dub me a Magnolia Peach. I was born and lived in Louisiana until I was twelve. Then my mother moved me and my brother to Georgia, where I have lived ever since, minus the time I spent in Illinois for law school.

What Pride do you take in your work?

I enjoy being able to help people reach their goals, whether it is a path to financial freedom, or investing in the legacy they are building utilizing real estate.

Why do you care about the work you do?

I care about the work I do because it not only helps people, but it allows me to personally grow. It excites me to be able to use all my learned skills in my past career in finance in this career, but also while learning more of the legal side.

Lorenzo Thirkield

Who are you?

I am Darrell Lorenzo Thirkield, Jr., but professionally known as D. Lorenzo Thirkield. I was raised by a single father who poured everything he could into me. Honoring his name but still having my own identity, I utilize my middle name in place of my first.

What is your job at the dortch law group?

I am the Senior Closing Coordinator. Once a file has received a clear to close from preclosing, it is transferred to my department to coordinate the closing documents and needed funds with lenders, clients, and agents.

When did you start working at the firm?

I started working at the firm part time in July of 2019 and came on full time in October of 2019.

Where are you from?

I was born and raised in Detroit, MI. I moved to Atlanta, GA in 2009 for college. I lived in Washington, D.C. from 2013-2014 and have been back in Atlanta since

What is your job at the dortch law group?

I am the Post Closing Coordinator and I handle the part of the transaction that everyone wants to be as smooth as possible—the disbursement of funds and recording of documents. I make sure that all the numbers are aligned and that all of the I’s have been dotted and t’s have been crossed.

what pride do you take in your work?

Our firm wide goal is all the same—efficient, accurate and personable.

Monique

Who are you?

I am Monique Anderson, I am a wife to 1 and mom of 3 sons. I hold a Georgia Real Estate license, however my background as a title abstractor is a big help in navigating the crazy world of real estate.

when did you start working at the firm?

I worked with Pavielle when she opened the firm as the Pre Closing Coordinator. I left to work on a personal project and when the opportunity to return to Dortch Law opened up, I returned.

where are you from?

I am Floridian born and raised, I have been a resident of Metro Atlanta since 1994.

why do you care about the work you do?

Property ownership is the catalyst for most people to gain firm financial footing. It is an honor to be a part of the journey that can change the financial trajectory for a family or individual.

what pride do you take in your work?

I take pride in being detailed about files so that everyone on the team knows the nature of the file and how to handle each file appropriately as each one is different and requires different care.

why do you care about the work you do?

I care about educating our clients on the process of real estate law, understanding the nature of it and why its important to protect your assets when purchasing and/or selling. The nature of real estate is keep your investments for many years to come, if the asset is protected correctly.

Danelle

Who are you?

My name is Danelle Neal affectionately known as Dani. Born in Central Florida but raised in Atlanta, Ga. I am a Master Graduate of South University in Business Administration.

what is your job at the dortch law group?

I am the Preclosing Coordinator. I am the first stop in the title process as I prepare all files with vital documents to clear titles from any and all lien(s), judgements and delinquent fees. I review titles to ensure the owner of record is the individual selling the property. To clear matters, I work closely with third parties to gather the information in a timely manner to meet the demand of desired closing dates. I also work closely with lenders to provide title commitments and preliminary settlement statements. Without a title searcg, our office cannot proceed in performing real estate transactions.

when did you start working at the firm

I started the summer of July of 2018

where are you from?

Central Florida, but was raised in Atlanta GA. I am the youngest of three from a single parent home.
